2009 Pinot Gris
Released December 2009 GOLD Medal at Hong Kong International Wine Show
The grapes were harvested in excellent conditions from the McKenzie and Rayner vineyards in Waipara, North Canterbury. The grapes were all harvested by hand ranging in ripeness from 22 brix to 24 brix. Fermentation finished in barriques to add complexity from time on lees.

It is pleasant drinking now but will reward 3-5 years of cellaring, taking on richer and more complex flavours of honey and beeswax.
A barrel selection resulted in 421 cases being bottled and closed with the screw cap to ensure freshness, consistency and reliable bottle maturation.
